I am a Latina, I come from nice, hot tropical weather and the smallest country of Central America, ¬タワEl Salvador.¬タン

AKA: (my nick name) " Yany"

What I Do Here: I am the Latino Peer Educator for NH REACH 2010 Initiative.

As a Peer Educator I enjoy going into people homes and teaching them about Diabetes and Hypertension which are two of the most common chronic diseases affecting the Latino Community. Throughout my visits, I have found out that there is a need in the community about learning about these diseases and the people are very eager to learn and start applying what they are being taught so they may achieve better health.

I began my work with this organization as a part-time with the program "Woman to Woman." I work here because our organization cares and advocates for minorities. I have to take advantage of this opportunity to do what I enjoy the most which is to work and help my Latino Community.

Experience: I have been working in the health care field for 8 years, as a Coordinator for Ready to Enroll Children into Health Care Program, with the Manchester Community Health Center.

Favorite sound: The sound of waves crashing on the shore, Peruvian Native Instrumental music.

Favorite Hobbies: I enjoy watching movies, being outdoors and contemplate nature, watch the sunset, gardening.

Things I wanted to do when I grew up:
1. Flight Attendant
2. Teacher
