Wanda Diaz

HIV Outreach Worker

Hola, my name is Wanda Ivette Castillo-Diaz but everyone calls me Wanda Diaz.

I come from La Isla del Encanto, Puerto Rico. I have been in the Unites States for 16 years.

I'm a proud mother of just six children. They enjoy both cultures, American and Hispanic. I try to maintain my cultural heritage so that I can pass it on to my next generation. I have a Puerto Rican corner in my house.

As a staff member of the New Hampshire Minority Health Coalition, I am an outreach worker for the HIV Prevention Program and a Home Visitor /Health Educator for the Healthy Families Program.

I work specifically with the Latino Community. One of the things I most enjoy in my life is to be able to help others. In this organization, I have the opportunity to teach about health topics to empower the community on health issues and access to health care.
